Spring Time Fun!!

Loralai, Ian, Carrie, & I went to a MomsTown (a moms group I am part of) event that they were holding at a local park yesterday. It was great fun! They had little stations set up with different activities for children 0-5 years old like: planting flowers in pots that the kids can decorate, gymnastics equipment, toys, rabbits, a firetruck and ambulance, story time, and the list goes on!

Loralai had a lot of fun sitting in the firetruck! She actually did not want to come out...maybe we have a future firefighter on our hands lol.

I finally got a video!

It is unbelievable how much babies learn so much and grow so fast in such a short period of time. Loralai is just 10.5 months old but has already learned some very incredible things, and has even taught me so much about patience, persistence, pure joy, happiness, love, and the list is endless! I know I am gushing but can you blame me? I am such a proud Mommy :)

8 STEPS!!!

Loralai has taken 8 steps this evening a few times!! She has been taking 2 steps and then getting down to crawl for at least a week now, then today she took 4 steps at Carrie's house, and then this evening she got just a little bit braver and took 8. Oh I am so excited, proud, and a little worried since now I am sure very soon I am going to be a lot busier.

I have not been able to catch it on film yet since I have been so enthralled with her taking these steps to grab the camera.

So I am including this photo since this is what she does after we all get so excited that she has walked :) Hopefully I will get a video soon.

10 Months

I can not believe that Loralai is 10.5 months already! Gosh how fast time is going, and at this rate she is going to be starting school in what will feel like next week!

Loralai Facts:

• She can stand, crouch down, and stand up again
• Loralai can just stand up without assistance from anything
  
• She has taken 2 steps so far without help
• Loralai picks up everything and puts it into her mouth (lint, paper, shoes...anything!)
• She shakes her head to say no
• She drinks from a sippy cup regularly now
• Loralai can roll a ball back when playing ball
• She does not like watermelon
• Loralai has 4 teeth
• She can say bubba and Uh-Oh now!

Baby Girlfriends

I feel that every girl needs at least a couple of good girlfriends and Loralai has found herself two very sweet and cute ones! lol. Of course it does not matter if her friends are boys or girls it just has seemed up until fairly recently Loralai has had only play-dates with little baby boy friends like Drake (10 months), Ian (14 months), and Ben (10 months). So I thought it would be fitting to make a baby girl friends blog of Loralai's friends Grace (14 months) and Ava (11 months).

Hanging out with Grace and her Mommy Sarah at their house just this past Thursday. The girls just wore each other out and they both crashed after Loralai and I left lol. Oh and I think because Grace is walking, it got Loralai's attention and she took two steps that day...it is not going to be too long I do not think!! Loralai just would not put her arm down when we were taking pictures, and when she finally did Grace squirmed away but they are still so cute anyway!

Just hanging at the mall with Ava and Mommy Jennifer. Jen and I were actually elementary and highschool friends and we lost touch, but Facebook and our pregnancies at the time, and now our little sweeties brought us back in touch! Funny how things happen for a reason :)

Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny came to visit Loralai for the very first time and left her some easter eggs for her to find! She of course this easter only had a short attention span for finding the eggs but it fun regardless. Grandma also left her a gift and she loved her new The Wiggles video and pj's
well she liked the tags and hanger anyway lol.

Walker Walking Fun!

Loralai LOVES her new Fisher Price walker. Sometimes her little feet fall a bit behind but she getting much better, she does nothing but smile and laugh! :) 'Mommy look at me I am such a big girl'!

Mommy I can do it...

...I can feed myself!

Loralai loves to eat anything that she can pick up and eat herself (it is actually the only type of food she eats), so when I gave her some yogurt for lunch she wanted to try and feed herself, so I thought why not, and she did a great job! I had to wipe banana yogurt away from her eye several times, and clean it out of her hair, but who could reset this face?!
