A Rainy Saturday
Today we had the first good rain storm of the season, and since last year Loralai was a little too young to remember thunder and rain with force she was actually really fascinated! Well she was a little nervous of the thunder and would say "oh no" and come running over for some comfort from Mommy, good thing that the lightening and thunder only lasted for a very short time. But Loralai was just fascinated just watch the rain come down in the backyard...well for a while anyway and then she was like enough already I am ready to go out there and play! So Mommy had to come up with an indoor activity....
So making some art seemed to be in order! She had a ball and stayed shockingly very clean! Now just wear to hang all this one of a kind abstract art?!
Long overdue playdate!
So Drake and Loralai have known each other for a long while now and used to have many play dates together, but Mommy started working full time and schedules started to conflict so our play dates sadly became fewer and fewer. But last weekend the Mommies decided enough was enough and the four of us got together again! Man oh man Loralai and Mommy forgot how much we love Drake and his Mommy Maggie!
Loralai and Drake played so well together, it was like the months they missed apart did not exist! As for Maggie and Mommy there was so much to catch up on that the hours just flew on by. We both have now decided that texting will be the best form of commumication that works for both of us to ensure that our kiddies and us, do not go months again without getting together!
Below are just some snipits of the kiddies having a ball together! So fun!

Future Career??

lol...is this not the cutest?! She looks like a little bobble head.
We went to dinner at Carrie's house to celebrate my cousin Rosey's birthday, well after dinner and a yummy cake, Loralai decided she wanted to play a little hockey with Brandon. She has the concept down pat and would have done very well had the equipment been her size! lol

Chappell Farms
So far our Easter weekend has been so much fun!
We went to Chappell Farms Friday for an....
Which after a couple of minutes of having to show Loralai what to do, she was a pro treat hunter! Although I do have to say the Farm could have had more child friendly treats, all Loralai could eat was the chocolate eggs. Chappell Farms also has a choo choo train that was definitely a favourite for Loralai, anytime that we went to do anything else it was always "choo choo"!

Brandon, Sarah, Carrie, Grandma, Mommy and Daddy were all enjoying participating in the Farm activities with Loralai, and as you may notice from the pictures it was a record high for being April 2nd at 28'C, the weather was gorgeous! Everyone was wearing shorts, t'shirts, sandals, etc...which normally we would still have ice on the lake, and maybe still a little snow on the ground! Bring on the spring/summer weather! :)

Loralai went......
Pee pee on the potty today!!!
We had decided to just take potty training very slow and let Loralai take the lead. So when Grandma called Mommy at work today and let me know that you had gone pee pee on the potty I was so excited and proud of you!So this is how the story went:
Loralai: pee pee
Grandma: you have to go pee pee on the potty?
Loralai: nods yes
Grandma gets the potty and Loralai goes pee pee!! YAY!
Then Loralai lays back down on the floor for Grandma to put her diaper back on.
I guess you have to be a mom to understand how exciting this really was for me to hear! Although I missed it because I was at work I am glad that Grandma was able to be there to cheer you on! :)

Sweet L Designs
So I attended my first craft show on the weekend and it sure was a fun experience. I have to say that I was pretty stressed the couple of days preceding the show, trying to make a few last minute items, and set up a design for my table.
Now the event host did not do such a great job at marketing the show, so it was a bit slower then I would have liked it to be, but for being my first show it did give me a good idea of what I should expect at the next two I have coming up next month..but hopefully they are a bit busier! :)
So I do have to say that my table was the most vibrant and colourful then tables I have seen at this show and shows in the past which goes with my products perfectly!
So below is a picture of my set up and a couple of close up's of the products that I offer!

Welcome to Loralai's :)
(I know that I have not posted in a while but my computers hard drive crashed so it has been in getting fixed, but now it is back and I am thrilled! )
We got a new convection oven and Loralai had fun playing with the plain old box, but I decided why not make it a bit more fun by cutting out a door, some windows, and having her help me decorate it with crayons! Well it was a big hit! She loves just taking some toys in there and letting her imagination run :)

First Hair Cut!
Loralai's bangs had been falling into her eyes lately, and she was constantly having to brush it to the side with her hands, so I decided that even though her hair has not yet fully grown in evenly in all areas, she could use a little trim anyway.
Now Loralai does NOT like having her hair brushed or invaded with any sort of clips or pony tails, so I was worried about how she would react to having her hair trimmed, and she blew me out of the water with pride because she was amazing! She did not cry or squirm too much, now to be fair I did take her to a child hairdresser that was fitted with fancy seats, Treehouse playing on three flat screen tv's, and a free lollipop and boat ride to finish off the appointment, but she was still wonderful! She even let (albeit unknowingly) the hairdresser put in a ponytail and clip!!
The hairdresser was very sweet with her, and had tricks to keep her looking down when she needed to trim the back. They also took a picture of her to take home, a certificate, and a little bag with her hair inside to commemorate her first haircut! What a great first haircut experience!

Active Tots Gymnastics

So for a few weeks now we have started taking Loralai to an active tots gymnastics class, and honestly Loralai could not have any more fun for 30 minutes!! They run, play, gym, tumble, walk across balance beams, crawl under and over, roll, and of course Loralai's favourite ride in the car!! lol. It is really the perfect program for busy tots in the winter!
So every Saturday morning starting at 9:30am we travel to the YMCA and take part in the active tot class, have a light snack, and then it's off to get ready for swimming lessons! It is a fun way to kick start the weekend with her!
