Baptism

Today was Loralai's baptism into the Roman Catholic Church. It was more of an informal ceremony without a mass, but it was so much fun, and the priest Father Tracey was really nice.
We were a bit unconventional with two Godmothers my cousin Carrie, and my friend Mindy, but there was not two better people that will love, and encourage Loralai as she grows.

Loralai wore my baptism dress that is 25 years old, and it was so special to me that she was able to wear my dress!

I ordered this beautiful cake from TripleCCakery. The cake designer is a mom of triplets and she runs her business out of her home. She is so talented and the cake was delicious, it did not last very long at all! I will definitely be ordering more cakes from her in the future.

This was the gift that we gave to Carrie and Mindy as a thank you. I wanted to get them something they could carry along with them. It is hard to see but I had the key chains engraved with "Godmother, 03/22/09"

The apple of Daddy's eye...

"Don't bug me I am working here"! lol

Loralai loves music of any kind, but lately she has been falling asleep to daddy's hip hop, and oh is he so proud! lol. Todd was a part-time DJ for a long time, and since we have had Loralai he has moved from working events to becoming a 90's hip hop (and some other music too) vinyl collector. So Loralai liking hip hop, and when daddy saw her taking an interest in his record collection (although she was closely monitored lol), she definitely became the apple of daddy's eye even more so then before!

Loralai is doing what the vinyl collectors refer to as 'digging' through the records, looking for that perfect selection!

Some Wedding Pictures!

Here are some more pictures of the wedding! Loralai is only in the photo's at the actual ceremony, she unfortunately she was one tired little girl and fell asleep when we went to take the photo's at the water. Loralai was so good at the ceremony, and so far we have many pictures (and when the professional pictures come back even more) that are adorable! Enjoy :)

My little kissie girl! This is my favourite picture of the two of us.

Loralai and Daddy before she got her little dress on! I love this picture. Professional photo.

The next three photo's are professional.

My favourite picture so far of Todd and myself. It is classic and timeless!

Swimming

Loralai LOVES swimming!

Loralai started swimming lessons a while ago, and I am so glad since it gave her just a taste of being in a big pool just before we went to Florida. She spent a long time in the pool kicking and splashing. When we tried to take her out when her fingers where all prunie she got so mad, she started screaming and crying. No wonder she slept so well in Florida, I can not wait for warmer weather here!! We had so much fun.

We are finally.....

MARRIED!!

We are thrilled to prenounce that we are officialy Mr. and Mrs. Todd Baker! We got hitched on Tuesday February 24th, 2009, in Cocoa, Florida. The ceremony was a beautiful intimate backyard wedding, we wrote our own vows, and my new father in law married us. We had wonderful photograhers which uploaded a few pictures on Facebook as soon as they got home to give us a taste of what is to come! The pictures are all different sizes since they were uploaded, but we had the traditional wedding style photos, pitcures at the water, and then some more urban photos done! They were definitely the most fun!! We used different wall's, door's, and a convience store!!

We invited just a small group since we were flying to Florida, but we are having a larger reception when we get back home. Enjoy the pictures!

Todd and myself in front of the alter which we decorated with some help from a wonderful women named Patty.

Picture at the river with my parents, Todd's parents, and my aunt and uncle!!

So I made my own bouquet, not sure if I would do that again knowing that using a hotels bar fridge would not be the best place to keep it cool, so they went a little brown before then end of the photos, however I was trying to go for that vintage 1950's feel with my veil so I just think of them as vintage!! lol.

Picture of Todd and I at the river.

Oh and I hope that you can not guess it but I did have food poisoning all day, and had been severally ill all morning, so Gravol and the wonderful girl that did my makeup and hair was a lifesaver!!

I will post more pictures as soon as I recieve them!

My little Sick Bubba!

(Loralai with her pink eye)

Loralai was sick last week. It was awful to see her like that, it just breaks your heart that you can not just take the sickness away and make them feel better instantly. She had an ear, throat, and eye infection (goopy eye) that eventually turned into pink eye.

I had to take her to the doctor 3 times (yes 3 times) before they gave her the correct medication, so I will never ever take her to a walk-in clinic ever again! So she is on antibiotics and eye drops, and she finally just got better!

It was truly the most challenging week of my life yet: I was very worried about Loralai, I was exhausted because she wouldn't sleep anywhere but on my chest & my normally happy baby was whining and crying all week (to be expected), and the icing and sprinkles on the cake were that I had exams, and planning on wedding that is taking place in just 8 days! So stress was my middle name. Regardless, we always seem to make it through even though we do not feel like we will, and I am just happy that she is finally better!

Picture of the Weekend!!

Just look at those pearly whites!!

I just had to post this picture it was just such a great shot of her little teeth. There was so much chewing and drooling this weekend I think some friends are coming in soon to join the party!

Didgeridoo Fun!

So if everyone who is wondering what a didgeridoo is, it is a wind instrument of the aboriginals in northern Australia. The instrument is traditionally made from living Eucalyptus trees.

The babies really enjoy the didgeridoo since it sends out a vibration along with the deep sound. We all got massages, Shingo ((Loralai's little friend Drake's (blue sleeper below) uncle)) was playing the didgeridoo and the massages came from the vibrations, it was actually very relaxing.

It was a fun cultural experience!
