My business blog is finally up and running! There is still a few finishing touches that need to be done to it, but I am so excited about the possibilities that lay ahead! :)

Favourite Picture of the Weekend...

So this weekend our street held their annual street party! It is a way to get everyone together and get to know people a little bit better. It was potluck style so everyone that wanted to get involved brought a dish for the BBQ, there we had music playing, and fun times were had by all...maybe a little too much fun!

So because chasing a toddler around when there were no other kids her age, and putting her to bed with all the loud music was just not conducive to a relaxing time for Mommy, Loralai went and stayed with her Grandma and Grandpa for the night. So to make it up to here the next day we took a drive to a new (to her) park down by the water and enjoyed a bit of family time together. So here is my favourite picture of the weekend...

Zoo Fun!

So on Father's day Daddy unfortunately had to work and Loralai and I did not want to waste a beautiful day. So we packed up the car and Grandma and all went to the local Elmvale Zoo! This zoo is great for toddlers because it is small and you can basically walk around and see the entire zoo in about an hour. They also have a park and places to have picnics as well.

So above is a picture of a rock and you maybe wondering why with all the animals that I could have taken a picture of I choose to take a picture of this rock? well Loralai is obsessed with rocks lately! she loves to collect them in her basket, and line them up, etc. It although not surprising it was still hilarious that Loralai got the most excited about this rock then any animal we saw! lol. She cracks me up!

Party!

We celebrated Loralai's 2nd birthday on Saturday and it was low key with just a bunch of close friends and family and it sure was fun!

So I did mention in a previous post that I was going to have a spring theme but in the end it totally ended up being a Dora themed birthday, and it was perfect...Loralai loved it! Carrie, Loralai's godmother got her a Dora birthday shirt made, Loralai picked out the balloons which of course were Dora, and finally the ice cream cake was Dora!

Birthday Party Today...

Loralai's birthday party is today and I will post about it tomorrow! For today I wanted to post a few of the pictures that we took this past Thursday when we went to visit Loralai's Great Grandparents and attend her pediatrician appointment.

The next picture is actually my favourite picture from that day! Loralai playing with her Great Grandpa, they had the greatest time together!

I can not believe your TWO!

Loralai's birthday was Wednesday and we definitely wanted to celebrate her actual day of birth even though we are having a party for her on Saturday. My plan was to actually get hotdogs from a street vendor and go down to the park by the lake, then come back home for cake, but the weather did not cooperate and most of the day it was pouring rain. So we went with plan b which was dinner at McDonald's and then back home for cake.


Loralai LOVES her cousin Brandon...just look at the admiration in her face! :)

Loralai had her 2 year pediatrician appointment yesterday and the doctor said that she was developing and growing beautifully!

Loralai Fun Facts:

• Loralai weights 27.5lbs

• she is 35" tall.

• She wears a size 8 shoe and is in size 2 clothing.

• Loralai loves to play pretend, and shares toys as well as food very well!

• She loves to be outdoors and run...she could run for hours.

• She will not step in sand with sandals on, but if you take then off and she is in barefoot then she is fine.

• Loralai's favourite show is Dora.

• She loves hats

• Just within the last 2 weeks her vocabulary has blossomed! So much as to include 'oh sh*t' unfortunately courteous of Mommy, she also might I add uses it in the correct context as well, i.e.: dropping yogurt on her shirt.

Birthday Invitation!

I am very much looking forward to Loralai's 2nd birthday! Hopefully this year it will be all sunshine since last year was rained out. We are planning on having a spring themed party; now your probably thinking what kind of toddler wants a spring themed birthday....well I will admit this is a little selfish on Mommy's part, but I figure next year on her 3rd birthday she will very much have an opinion on what sort of theme she will want (Dora, princess, sports, etc), so I might as well take advantage of the fact that she does not really care right now!

There will be a jumpy castle, and cake, and balloons, and fun...oh my!!

I was "trying" to take some pictures of Loralai the other day and EVERY time I lifted up the camera she would make this funny face! lol what a ham :) She just cracks me up!
